Climate March June, 2022
The climate crisis is now. Heat records are being broken time and again and the consequences of this are very serious. In the Netherlands, people lost their homes to floods in Limburg, and elsewhere droughts lead to famines and forest fires devastate communities of people and animals. The blows fall mainly on people who have the least means to protect themselves against these dangers. Within our borders, but especially far beyond. Yet the Netherlands has been doing too little to prevent this for years. In fact, the Dutch government is only making the crisis much worse. This must stop immediately!
The Climate March
We demand a fair climate policy. We can fight the climate crisis and ensure for everyone in the Netherlands and beyond a dignified existence. But, this does not happen by itself. With mass protest, we can get politicians to move. That is why we are building a strong movement that puts people and climate above the profits of big polluters. On June 19, we will take to the streets of Rotterdam, exactly 30 years after the first climate conference. While politicians keep talking, we will take action. Join us!

Who are we?
The Climate March is an initiative of the Climate Crisis Coalition, a collaboration of Oxfam Novib, Fridays For Future, Greenpeace, Extinction Rebellion, FNV, Fossil Free NL, Milieudefensie, Code Rood, DeGoedeZaak, and TNI. The protest is also made possible by a project team that will arrange everything in the run-up to the march, from the stage program to social media posts. And let's not forget the indispensable role of volunteers.
